DESIGN INSIGHT /// STUDIO ARHOJ & THE COLOUR WHITE
Posted by Francesca Caparelli on 26th Oct 2015
One day, one of my closest friends here in Sydney told me that she styled her room all in white so she would have the feeling of ‘living in a cloud’.
What a beautiful thought!
It’s true that a white house, or just a white room, can give you a soft and relaxed feeling and also can be your starting canvas for playing with colours.
The talented blogger and journalist from That Nordic Feeling, Rikke , recently styled a kitchen in Copenhagen taking exactly the idea of a white canvas with splashes of colours.
The palette of colour is highlighted by one of our favourite Danish brand of ceramics Studio Arhoj.
The capacity of the Anders the designer and creator of Studio Arhoj to combine the perfect formula for the paint on ceramic is fascinating, especially when creating the famous sip cups.
Playing with colours and materials has a great ability to create your own space and style, and Studio Arhoj is a master this art.
The chawan stoneware bowls are reminiscent of the days in Japan where everything started, and they also bring a light Mediterranean touch.
A clear and bright white kitchen becomes a cozy and personalised space for living, with greenery splashes and melting colours.
Simple and beautiful, as we like it.
Keep styling with us at Luumo!
