INSPIRATION /// FRAMA - RAW BEAUTY
Posted by Francesca Caparelli on 14th Jan 2015
In the Vogue Living edition January/February 2015, the beautiful pictures of the apartment/laboratory of FRAMA director Niels Stroyer Christophersen remind us how Nordic atmosphere can combine old style surfaces with modern objects .
This so called ‘raw beauty’ stands out for its simplicity and still for its strength and personality in the visual result.
Choosing to maintain the unpainted walls after removing the wallpaper on them, sets up a background texture as a layer, on which playing with shapes and 3D elements is revealed to be relaxed and natural. The sense of abandoned and melancholic atelier enhances/highlights the character and the existentialism of furniture and light.
The design and the features of the interiors dance in perfect harmony with a not-so bohemian feeling.
The palette of colours given by ceiling, walls and timbered window frames, promises not to become boring with shades and lights reflections.
A cosy and romantic place that hasn’t cut out strings with the past, matches soft and natural shapes with rough textures and unfinished finishes, overcoming contrasts and the archetypal Scandinavian home.
