INTRODUCING /// KRISTINA DAM

Posted by Francesca Caparelli on 30th Jun 2015

I have a huge interest and devotion for indoor nature, as they easily become essential in rooms, adding that ‘something special’.

To me the green trend that is occurring everywhere gives the home a beautiful balance, between life, colour and happiness.

Greenery is perfectly matched with another passion of mine: art.

Danish Kristina Dam is the maker of this stunning visual wedding between greenery and photography as artwork, where the camera becomes the substitute of prints and brushes. Her studio is committed to enhance and develop the dialectic relationship among interior design, art and graphic design.

Small ball cactus’, longer leafed bayonet plants, or just simple palm leaves are the subjects captured, then altered by a misty screen to give a moody, zen like quality. Place in a simple white or wooden frame, the artwork would look great in the lounge, hallway or bedroom. I recently framed mine in a slim white frame and it gives a wonderful, calming feel for my reading nook so I can enjoy some quiet time.
