Play is essential to a children development because it contributes to the cognitive, physical, social, and emotional well-being of children and youth. Play also offers an ideal opportunity for parents to engage fully with their children, and its brings such wonderful benefits for both through bonding.

I know my kids love to play with Daddy’s I-pad, which when used too often it’s the first thing my daughter asks for in the morning. Not Hello Mum! So the I-pad now stays at work and only comes home once in a while, or if we are going on long car trips!! It’s a lifesaver…. But she’s three and fascinated by this technology, and there are some great apps for kids.

  

So when I saw this range from Donkey a German based company, I knew we had to stock these items. They are wooden I-pad’s, laptops and tablets which children can use to express their creativity on the blackboard, then rub it all out and start again. Ok so it’s not a proper device like an expensive tablet or a laptop, but something that works, in the children minds..
