GUBI’s first ceramic tables, taking advantage of single-fired stoneware’s robustness, resilience, and unique organic aesthetic. The versatile Carmel tables have vivid colour options, high-shine glaze, and richly textured finishes, combined with organic contours, which give the Carmel tables a distinctive look, playful character, and almost creature-like appeal.  The Carmel tables can stand alone as feature pieces or be combined in clusters with others in different sizes and colours. Small tables are available in Rock Red or Pacific Blue; medium in Clam White, and large in Midnight Black, with a randomized crystal finish applied to black and white tables.

Designer info

An interdisciplinary design practice founded in Copenhagen in 2003 by Thomas Lykke and Anne-Marie Buemann, OEO Studio works across product design, interiors architecture and creative direction. A belief in craftsmanship, tactility, and lived experience results in meaningful products and spaces, built on the studio’s mantras: never make the safe choice, everything must have a reason for being and design for longevity. The Carmel Table Collection is the first OEO Studio furniture project to incorporate ceramic, making this a bold new material direction for both OEO and GUBI, and a testament to their shared curiosity and drive to explore.

GUBI is a design house renowned for designing, developing and marketing a daring and elegant collection of furniture, lighting and interior objects that resonates across the globe. Its signature pieces evoke emotion and tell meaningful stories that make them both timeless and enduring. GUBI brings forgotten icons of the past together with tomorrow’s classics. The result is a visionary collection that spans almost 100 years of history and is sold all over the world.

Founded by his parents in 1967 – the year that the current owner and creative director, Jacob Gubi, was born – GUBI originally focused on producing the family’s own furniture designs and trading textiles within the retail sector. Over the years, Jacob Gubi’s creative vision and courageous intuition has led GUBI to its current position in the global design scene with a handpicked edit of high-quality furniture from all over the world, and collaborations with both esteemed designers and archives and contemporary emerging talents.
