HAY's Backflip chair, designed by Gudmundur Ludvik, is a modern wooden folding chair that works equally well in private and public spaces. The chair's curved seat and backrest are made from beautifully grained beech veneer, while the solid wood frame gives it a reassuringly sturdy feel despite its light and agile design.
Versatile Backflip works as a dining chair at home or in a restaurant, as seating in a meeting room or event space, or as an extra chair that can be brought out whenever needed. Thanks to a discreet mechanism concealed inside the backrest, the chair folds neatly for easy storage. A separately sold wall bracket also allows the folded chair to be conveniently hung on the wall.
