Conceived by Swedish designer Gustav Winsth for the Scandinavian design brand Muuto, the Pleat Mirror reimagines the classic standing mirror through a folded, mirror-polished stainless-steel form that interacts with light and space, producing subtle distortions and depth in its reflections.
Cut from a single sheet of steel and carefully engineered, its tall proportions echo the scale of a doorway, giving it bold presence while maintaining minimal elegance. The design reflects Winsth’s process-led approach—melding industrial materiality with fluid, expressive curves—to create a piece that is as much an artwork and architectural element as it is a functional mirror
